I don’t think I have that many characters like this, at least that I can think of at the moment, two, maybe three. Myriam (very male), usually goes by Mimi. A few facts before we go anywhere:
- Registered Nurse
- Parents wanted a daughter
- Looks womanly enough to pass off as everything but a man
Mimi is usually mistaken for a women because of how womanly he looks. Doctors seem to claim that in the womb, he had a twin sister, but she died and merged into him, changing his traits to match hers, as if they were one and only person. Sadly so, Myriam is definitely male for what’s between his legs, and he wouldn’t dream of being a woman.
His parents desperately were hoping for a baby girl, and so when you baby boy Mimi was born, they gave him a girl’s name, dressed him in pink, and raised him as a girl. During teenage years, this became a problem, because Mimi just wasn’t like every ‘girl’ in his class. Despite that his voice was the proper pitch, he didn’t have the same parts as other girls in his class did. That he learned with his first boyfriend since, after all, girls are supposed to date boys.
A little alcohol in his later high school years lead to a bit of fooling around, and when clothes came off, and Mimi came face to face with parts he was so very familiar with, his world started to shatter. He managed to transfer schools without the knowledge of his parents, starting living his life as a man instead of a woman, or at least to the best of his ability he did while he still lived under his parents’ roof.
His rather strong liking to boy and men never changed from his ‘woman’ years and he remained in the gay ‘mindset’ rather than being straight since ‘other’ girls had never interested him. In some way, one has to wonder if they parents had ever really thought that far ahead into things… probably not.
In his new school, Myriam, who mostly went by his middle name of Jaime, settled into something of a steady relationship and discovered the pleasure of male to male sexual adventures and fantasies.
Once out of high school and amazingly enough still with the same man, he went to university with hopes of becoming a nurse for reasons that were somewhat beyond him considering he has something of a fear of blood. Mild as it is, it still is present and he has to try and overcome it every time he has to work with it. A small part of him wonders if he wouldn’t be happier as a scientist or something else entirely but he’s unsure of what he’ll do with his life at this point.
His primary reason for wanting to be a nurse was because he loved being able to visit patients and see them smile when he did something for them. He loves being able to help children who suffer from cancer and are constantly in the hospital because it makes him feel better. He does have a habit of getting attached to the patients he takes care of, which makes things difficult when a child comes to pass away or is finally released from the hospital, though the latter is subject to celebration more than tears.
Mimi currently lives with his high-school sweetheart/boyfriend though they work completely opposite shifts and haven’t actually had much time together in some time. When they do have time they do their best to make up for it but their relationship is beginning to be strained, no matter what they do about it. There haven’t been any sparks yet so as to make said relationship shatter, but one never knows what could happen.
