What I am quite glad for, is the return of those who have been missing for years. So many I have seen leave but a few months after I took my place that at first I thought I was at fault for what was happening but I came to realize that this was not the case. That it simply was inevitable.
Now however, they have begun to pour back within and it feels good. I wish they all would come back but some are still missing. No amount of searching and reaching out has yet to bring them back but I refuse to lose hope. I know they will come.
Some, of course, I know have left us permanently and I do mourn their passing but hold strong. Hoping that this will not happen again.
Here, have a look in my books. Those that do come back are lined out of one book, their names transferred to the other.
Cylean Silber – This one. Ah this one I do miss terribly and I am quite worried about his whereabouts. One of two most talented pianist, after his last concert he merely went missing. One moment he was in his changing room, the next he simply was gone. This was far too long ago, months have bled into years. However, my security team has told me that they have managed to find his signal, locate him through his chip. The only issue is that he is nearly half-way across the globe. A small team has been sent out to retrieve home. I hope we are not too long.
Edward Jones – Having been teaching in a nearby university, an old, dated letter from his adoptive sister has found its way back to him and his train should be coming in so very soon. From there, it will only be a few hours more before he is back and within, I would imagine that his family will be quite happy to see him back. Now if we could find his sister.
Eiji Kusanagi, Yamah Kusanagi – These twins, which way do I take as far as they are concerned? They are back, yes. I suppose they should be in my other books, but their lives keep on teetering on the edge and no amount of medical help seems to do it. All they have managed to do for them is set them up in their own room, a checkup once or twice a day. I myself cannot bear to go into their room, the sound of machines makes me ill and to see them lying so still as if they had no breath left to take doubly so.
Evan Morgan, Nave Morgan – A pair that had left to study in a nearby university, much the same Edward was teaching in, I believe a letter was sent to them recently to give them warning that their mate had returned home. They should be on their way soon. As soon as they step past these doors, their names will go into the proper book.
Maveryn Laruwien, Richard L. D’Angelo – Father and son. Indrah himself, older brother to Maveryn, came back earlier than expected thus his name is in the other book. The man’s wife however, Elvaleryn, is still missing but we were given news that she was also on her way home. Maveryn and Richard are on their way back. They had been in Antarctica, unbelievable this. I fear for Richard’s well-being however as latest news spoke of severe collaring, something along the lines of what was done for Chaos before Nicole did come back. Hopefully the presence of Owen will be enough to calm him.
Kojiro Fukai – In a way, this one has never left these walls. He merely stepped into a dimension where there was nothing. A dimension of blackness that had no time. Once he stepped within, he had no means of knowing how much time has gone by, the only way for him to know would be for someone to fetch him. Or simply for someone to step into the apartment where the door awaits. I do understand his reasons however. Had he not stepped into that dimension, he very simply would have lost his mind and I believe we would have lost a few to that on the way.
Jessika Sile – One of three children born to one mother but not the only one missing. I very well know where she is, but if she has no desire to be found, why tell? Cruel perhaps is what you would call me for this but I am not the one they call Fate. It is out of my hands. If she is to come back, she will.
Ryan Sile, Tebryn Abaeir – Second of three children, third one blessedly found and finally home, as well as a cousin. Ryan’s life has been tangled with Tebryn’s own, perhaps a good thing that family stay together? To a point. Both now are working in that place downtown that I would wish for nothing more than to see shut down but it is out of my hands. Into the hands of Mikhail who has returned but recently himself. I find myself worried for Tebryn more than Ryan since the former has fallen into the clutches of that twisted boyfriend of his. Well, boyfriend, turned ex, turned boyfriend.
Kee’leyiric Elrendir – While his father was saved from the life of slavery he had stumbled into, I am afraid to admit, and do hate having to admit it, that Kyle is still out there, much in the same position Kai’ had been up to this point. We cannot exactly pinpoint where he is, which makes getting him out of that situation rather complex. Soon however, soon I hope the tracker will give sign of life.
Louis Lanoblesse – I never expected him to leave. So far away even! He looked so happy when things had finally settled between he and his young lover, when they had a child. But he left. Way out there, to British Columbia. A letter has reached him recently however, this I know. Perhaps one can hope that he and his heaven-match will find one another again and come back home. Their daughter needs their presence.
Moyra Freeborn – Terror is what made this one flee. When her daughter brought forth news of a pregnancy through less than welcome means, terror settled in deep and she fled. Barely covering her tracks, I imagine that she merely needed to get away. Finding her isn’t so complex, it is convincing her to come back that might be. Just a town away, living a quiet, mostly peaceful if not terribly lonely life.
River – He changes surnames too often for me to be able to keep track and that is saying something. I was told that he left following something of a rather bad fight. Straight to Australia where he spends his days surfing both in and out of competitions. Of course he has been just about mauled by a shark on more than one occasion but last news had him on a hospital bed in something of a coma. Perhaps he will eventually come home.
Simon Veritas - There was little keeping this one within my walls. Once his interest seemed to have faded off into the distance, to be honest I don’t know what tore these two apart, but to be away from an abusive childhood friend, this one has set up a magic shop just beyond the downtown area of the town. Powders, herbs, jars with odd things in them. He lives on the second floor of his ship.
Rupert Thompson, Timothy Steinz – I do so wish these two had not fought, but I am rather happy to say that one of them is finally being transferred back within. Not so happy as to his condition. Timothy has been in a vegetative state and coma for the better part of a year, his doctors claim he will never wake but I refuse to believe this. His lover however, has been in the hands of the gang he had so desperately sought to tear to pieces for about as long, if not longer, than Timothy himself has been comatose. There is too little that can be done.
Shiyuri Hastur – I do not know the reason behind this one’s departure. Now she lives in a small studio a few steps away from the hospital she spends most of her days, and nights at. Moving from one room to the next, helping patients who need it more than others and refusing to give herself a moment to breathe. It is unhealthy for her to keep working this way.
Siana Storm - Another one who left without saying much of a word. Of course, she left when her boyfriend enrolled but somehow I don’t imagine that is the reason for it. Nowadays, all I see of her are those few, rare glimpses where she walks a young girl of about seven to and from school. The little girl much to old to be her own flesh and blood, it leaves me baffled as to who she might just be.
Tiarith En’dra - An incident that could have been avoided and I feel terrible about it. The details are not important, all that matters is that this one has been living the life of a recluse far, far away from everything. An island lost in the middle of nowhere with few means of getting there other than by water. She needs to come home.
Then, of course, there are those who are back, those who have never left but still are hoping for the return of their significant others.
Kyioshi Preadon – His days are spent in his apartment, caring for his wounded son. How young Jared was wounded is something that escapes me and no one seems to understand it. If anything, it does keep his mind off of the fact that he is somewhat terribly lonely. Another thing perhaps to keep him occupied is the fact that there is a tube in the lab, with a child growing, a grand-daughter for him and his mate, should he return.
The Vinter-Borough boys; Lukaas, Mikaas, Nikolaas and Tobiaas - Unexpected their departure, but a few weeks after they had come back. Called right back off, this once without warning, shipped off and if news could be given, they sent none. Now however, they are back, slowly settling in. It might be a short while before they go out of their apartments, before they do anything that will require them to move.
Damáiste Domhain - Another terrible accident. This one is simply in the regenerator for the sake that he does not seem to heal. The chamber is merely keeping him alive for now. Most do not understand why I refuse for them to unplug him, I believe that his chosen mate will come back and that his presence will help him heal.
Malice Kín, Tagri Kín – I wish both siblings would do as well as the other. In the case of Malice, he has spent the better part of the past months, if not more, in a little white cell. He has no need to be collared, no need to be set in a jacket. He merely rocks. His sister however, has closed in on herself but not quite as bad as her brother. While she spends most of her time in the library, at times, she does go outside, for fresh air. Loneliness is still visible however.
Nary Sile – Finally home after a mission that took too long, waiting patiently under the watchful eye of her sister. Her time is spent, currently, in the medical room that has been dubbed as hers as she heals up naturally. If she were to be told of her son’s whereabouts, there is no saying that her recovery would keep going so well.
Touki Subeta – Recently returned, this one has been hiding in the apartment that was set as his since. What little I have managed to get out of the one who put him through the medical once over, is that he seems to have been cornered. ‘Why’ is my question. Why cornered and why is he reacting this way? It certainly wasn’t the first time, and most likely wasn’t the last. Why is this one so different?
Diao Shiroshinrei – While I know she never left, all I know is that I have seen her wandering the halls aimlessly. It bothers me to think that she does not know what to do with herself. She looks like a ghost of her former self, not something that is comforting.
Xenith Maxima-Lars – Much as Kyioshi, this one has spent the better part of the recent while caring for her child, her daughter. Sasha having had in mind to go cold turkey on blood and settle for the herbal mix. It took some time but she is finally stabilizing. The other thing keeping this one from leaving is much the same as it is Kyioshi, that very same tube. A child growing, a grand-daughter.
That does seem to be it for now.. I hope to have more names in my returned book than in my missing one soon.
